Accommodation

OPTIONS

Accommodation is a significant part of tour budgets and we are conscious of providing affordable, yet comfortable accommodation that meets the needs and expectations of the group. Our experience over the years has enabled us to compile a list of suitable accommodation providers. The following is an idea of what we use:

  • school boarding facilities
  • 3+ star motel units
  • motel/cabin units in Motor Parks
  • some Backpacker accommodation

We also have a range of superior accommodation options for supporters and staff.

Following are two examples of accommodation options in Christchurch. We have a range of providers we use throughout New Zealand.

ADAMS HOUSE

Adams House has a close association with Total Rugby Ltd. Richard Taylor, who is a director of the company, is also the Manager of Adams House. This is a modern facility that caters for 128 students who do their schooling at Christchurch Boys’ High School and live at the boarding hostel. During school holidays Adams House is available for outside use. Total Rugby tour groups regularly use Adams House, which caters for both staff and students. Adams House is only a 3 minute walk from the school grounds or a 10 minute walk to Hagley Park. Downtown Christchurch is an easy 15 minute walk away.

Facilities and services include: full kitchen, parking space, computers and jetstream Internet, gardens and large lawn, full laundry, towels and bedding, data projector, tennis courts, single and quad rooms, meeting rooms and synthetic cricket wicket.

More information about Adams House is available at www.adamshouse.co.nz

When Adams House is not available we have a range of other motel style accommodation that we can cost for.

CITY PARK LODGE

City Park Lodge is an excellent group accommodation facility. Total Rugby have a special relationship with CPL and the service our clients receive is 1st rate. With such close proximity to Adams House, High School Old Boys Rugby Club and Hagley Park guests staying at CPL have easy access to all these facilities, plus Riccarton shops and the central city.
